The FBI warns: Cover your cell phone camera
Recommendations to turn off the computer camera have been made in the past. This time, however, the FBI is drawing our attention to computers and cell phones, even if their cameras are off.
"The FBI can secretly activate a computer camera - without turning on the light that shows the camera is recording - for many years and has used this technique mainly for terrorist cases or in the most serious criminal investigations."
In short, while the FBI can turn on your computer camera without you knowing it, if your only crime is listening to a song over and over and crying, then the FBI agent probably has much bigger mysteries to solve than the days when you are more emotional than ever.
Even if your webcam is not constantly monitored by an FBI agent, that does not mean it cannot be hacked - and that is where things get scary.

On the other hand, of course, New America cybersecurity member Tarah Wheeler told Teen Vogue that "the truth is that we should be much more concerned about our personal data than the laptop or mobile phone camera (which no one covers with tape). And that makes sense.
While our cell phone can be hacked it is much more likely that someone will hack it for our personal data than for our photos.
You can, of course, take some steps to keep your camera safe. Make sure you have a strong password on your mobile and put a tape on the camera just in case. You can block the internal camera using special stickers that circulate on the internet. Putting tape on the front camera of your mobile is just a precaution.
It is not worth panicking or becoming paranoic thinking that you are being watched, but it is important to know that these devices can be compromised.
And it is important to know how to protect yourself and your information as well as your personal images in more ways than using tape
